The basic versions Jet I and II are supplied without a light kit. They a different in terms of colours and finishes. The Jet I with the housing colour “brushed nickel“ features a reversible blades in the colours silver and wenge. Wenge is a dark brown timber from Africa.
The Jet II is available with a white housing and blades in white and light maple. The pale overall colour scheme is ideal for contemporary interiors. Both models are controlled with a pull chain on the housing. A Westinghouse remote control or wall controller can be added for maximum convenience.
The Jet Plus ceiling fan is a modern appliance with three spotlights. They are suitable for bulbs from the energy efficiency classes E to A++. This premium model already includes a remote control for independent control of the light kit and fan. The Jet Plus Westinghouse fan comes with a brushed nickel coloured housing and blades in silver and wenge or with a white housing with white / maple blades.

These Westinghouse ceiling fans can be used in summer and winter. A manual reversing switch on the motor housing lets you choose between clockwise and anticlockwise spinning. If you are looking for cooling during hot summer days, the fan blows down a fresh breeze (clockwise). The fan can be used in addition to an air conditioning system. It allows you to turn down the AC thanks to the additional circulation from the fan. Combining both climatisation appliances helps to cut operational costs.
Reverse the running direction in the winter (counterclockwise). Indoor air from the ground is now sucked upwards to the ceiling. There, the hot air underneath the ceiling is forced down to the ground along the walls. There is no noticeable, unpleasant draught. However, you will notice that the overall temperature in the room has become a lot more agreeable after a while. Since the fan successfully recovers heat from the upper part of the room and recirculates it, you will not have to turn up the heater or fuel the fireplace as much. Your heating costs will reduce thanks the use of a ceiling fan.
CAREFUL: Before changing the running direction of the fan, the motor must stand completely still. Only then is it safe to change directions.

Control
The Jet ceiling fans offer three rotation speeds. Nevertheless, you will not be bothered by motor noise, the appliances operate smoothly. The low and medium speed levels are recommended to use for the winter mode.
The Jet I and II run with about 220 revolutions per minute. The speed is adjusted with the included pull chain. Pulling once starts the fan on high speed. Two pulls slow the Jet down to medium and three pulls to low speed. The fourth pull turns the ceiling fan off. The basic Jet models can be upgraded with a remote control or wall controller if desired. The wireless remote with touch screen for Westinghouse ceiling fans is a great choice for a remote option. The Jet Plus is delivered with a remote control and spins with a maximum of 280 revolutions per minute. The light and fan can be controlled independently. A manual slide switch on the fan body lets you choose between cooling and recirculating heat.

Maintenance
The high-grade motor inside the Jet ceiling fans does not require lubrication. Only the screws of the blades should be tightened again every now and then. Dust and other debris can be removed with a soft brush or a lint-free cloth.
