Shutters are primarily used to prevent cold incoming draught. However they also offer the added benefit of protection against foreign bodies, dirt or animals in ventilation inlets or outlets. The CasaFan VKS-ALU series is opened by the airflow of the fan and then closes automatically thanks to good old gravity. The series is made from anodised weatherproof aluminium and was designed for use in extracting ventilation systems. It is recommended to use motor-driven covers for supply air systems.
